The App is aimed at augmenting the initiatives of the Government of India, particularly the Department of Health, in proactively reaching out to and informing the users of the app regarding risks, best practices and relevant advisories pertaining to the containment of COVID-19.
Aarogya Setu (Download) has already helped in identifying individuals who came in close proximity of persons who have tested positive for COVID-19.The inputs from the App are being shared with the concerned Government authorities, who then reaches out to these individuals and then undertake further testing and containment measures accordingly.
