भोपाल। आर्चबिशप लियो कॅार्नेलियो ने अपने आर्चडायसिस के अंतर्गत आने वाले हरदा, भोपाल, होशंगाबाद और सीहोर के चर्चो, सदस्यों और संस्थानों के लिये एक सर्कुलर जारी कर लोगों से कोरोना से बचाव के लिये कुछ एहतिहात बरतने के निर्देष दिये हैं।
आर्चबिषप ने सभी लोगों से आग्रह किया गया है कि बड़ी संख्या में इकट्ठा होने से बचें और स्यवं के साथ अपने घर और आसपास के वातावरण को साफ रखें। अपने पत्र में आर्चबिषप ने रविवार की प्रार्थना में भाग लेने के दायित्व से भोपाल महाधार्मप्रांत के कैथोलिक विश्वाससियों को छूट दी है।
वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और सर्दी, खांसी या किसी भी कमजोरी से पीड़ित लोगों को प्रार्थना समारोहों से दूर रहने की सलाह दी है। उन्हें अपने परिवार के साथ प्रार्थना, बाईबल पढ़ने, रोजरी आदि के द्वारा अपने घरों में समय बिताने की सलाह दी गई है। यदि संभव हो तो, यू-ट्यूब या टेलीविजन पर धार्मिक प्रसारण का पालन कर सकते हैं।
आर्चबिषप ने उपरोक्त निर्देशों का पालन 31 मार्च तक किये जाने को कहा है। इसके बाद की जानकारी वे स्थिति के अनुसार आगे देंगें।
जनसंपर्क अधिकारी फादर मारिया स्टीफन ने बताया कि वर्तमान स्थिति को देखते हुए अप्रैल माह की 12 तारिख को होने वाले ईस्टर महोत्सव को रदद् कर दिया गया है। उन्होने आगे बताया कि ईस्टर महोत्सव समिति और पी.आर. आफिस के छोटे दल द्वारा भोपाल शहर को इस महामारी से बचाने के लिये जगह-जगह जाकर प्रार्थना की जायेगी।
Archbishop exempts Christians from obligation of Sunday Holy Mass
Archbishop Leo Cornelio SVD asked the Catholic Christians to take serious preventive measures to control Corona Virus – Covid19 in and around Bhopal Archdiocese, consists of Bhopal, Sehore, Hoshangabad and Harda districts of M.P. He has officially communicated certain measures to pay serious attention.
Archbishop urged the Christians to avoid gathering in large number for whatsoever reason besides paying special attention to personal hygiene, homes and surrounding cleanliness. The Catholic Christians are exempted from the obligation of attending Sunday Eucharist. Senior citizens and those suffering with cold, cough or weak medical conditions are advised to stay away from spiritual celebration. Those who stay home may, if possible, follow Holy Mass on You-Tube or Television. All the Christians are asked to spend time in prayer, Bible reading, reciting Rosary in their homes together with their families to stop spreading the Virus.
Fr. Maria Stephen, the PRO said the reporters that the forthcoming Easter Mahotsav on 12th April Easter Sunday remains cancelled. The Easter Mahotsav Samiti in collaboration with Public Relations Office started praying for God’s intervention for the safety of Bhopal, going around the city in a small group, he added.
