पहली से आठवीं कक्षा तक के लिए यह कार्यक्रम 2019 में शुरू किया गया था। पिछले साल अक्टूबर 2020 में एसएसए ने किन्नौर जिला से नौवीं से जमा दो कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों के अभिभावकों के लिए यह सुविधा शुरू की थी। इस साल जनवरी 2021 तक इसे सभी स्कूलों में शुरू करने की तैयारी थी, लेकिन कोरोना के कारण स्कूल बंद होने से इसमें देरी हुई।
e-Samwad is a flagship program of the Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh to involve parents in child's education by providing them regular updates about child's progress. Through e-samwad, parents receive regular SMS on their mobile phones about student's attendance, examination dates, examination scores, holidays, homework completion and parent teacher meeting on. It is also used as a tool for assessment data collection for the state.
